The Antrim and Down branch of the Western Front Association was founded in 2014. It is a constituent branch of the national UK charity (UK number298365) the Western Front Association (WFA). The WFA was formed in 1980 to maintain interest in the First World War (1914-1918). The WFA works to perpetuate the memory, courage and comradeship of all, from all sides, on all Fronts: on land, at sea, in the air and on the Home Front. The Western Front Association is non-political and does not seek to glorify war.

 

Members of the public can become members of the Association. The benefits are: 

  • Stand To! - The WFA print magazine, three times a year.
  • Bulletin - The WFA in-house magazine, three times a year.
  • Trench Lines - The WFA eNewsletter every month.
  • The chance to get involved with over fifty branches across the UK and around the world.
