A conference and workshop on the aftermath of the First World War. It will take place at PRONI on Thursday 14 November, 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm.
The commemorations of events in Ireland between 1912 and 1921, the so-called ‘Decade of Centenaries’ has raised awareness of the history of this period and provoked debate on their long-term consequences. This conference and workshop is intended to help those who want to undertake further research in the period. It will feature speakers from PRONI and other repositories and researchers who will talk about their own work and suggest lines for future research. The conference will be chaired by Dr Timothy Bowman, University of Kent.
